As a thriving design and manufacturing business owner, I was typically consumed by stress.
In 1979 I fired an employee he incorrectly perceived to be slow and unproductive. When the employee returned to collect his termination payment, he told me that he had completed all allocated tasks effectively and efficiently.
He pointed out that although other employees had managed to create an impression of ‘busyness’ and apparent productivity, they were less efficient and made costly errors. Their constant, though not necessarily productive activity, had been in tune with my stressed state.
I was aware that the former employee practised some form of deep relaxation and casually questioned him about it.
“It’s like having a window in your mind, through which you perceive life. Each time you practice, you are cleaning the window. After a while, you begin to see life more clearly”. He suggested that I could learn to do this, and at this point, my life changed.
Not long after, I literally gave away my seven-year-old business to my staff and began a journey to quieten my mind and focus my life. I discovered that most existing tools were unnecessarily complex and shrouded in doctrine.
I began to devote my energies to producing a tool to clear the mind that is simple, practical and free of doctrine. I first published in the USA in 1983, and by 1985 the Clarity material was completed and is still in its original form to this day.
In the early 1980’s Stuart envisaged a future in which there would be a need for a tool to ‘release‘ unwanted inner-tension on a global scale.
What he saw was a world being increasingly constrained by its own fear (inner-tension) reaching pandemic proportions between 2012 and 2018.
To develop a practical and uncomplicated method, to support the safe ‘release‘ of inner-tension and at the same time ‘increase‘ the individual’s wellbeing or flow of consciousness.
With the view to make the abstract concrete, his unique method rapidly evolved when he pioneered the 4-way Progress Tracking, Measurement and Reporting combined with a Daily Integration System. This system empowers the individual with tangible feedback, to measure and track their increased flow of consciousness.
Giving the user encouragement and independence for the long term.
After publishing the first Self-Healing program ‘Access Track’ with co-author David Casson in the U.S.A in 1984 [Review] Stuart received an honorary doctorate from the-then Institute of Mind and Body Science in Phoenix, Arizona. Since then his method has been well tried and tested, it is called Clarity.
Stuart worked with cancer patients, and people with a wide range of life-threatening illnesses, including individuals for personal growth.
In 1987-88 he worked extensively with HIV sufferers at the Albion Centre, an annex of Sydney Hospital, in Australia under the Directorship of Dr Julian Gold, with in-house healing groups and residential healing retreats.
Over the years Stuart has worked with a range of people, in major organisations in different countries, he has personally trained over 500 senior executives from PETRONAS Malaysia, all of which have experienced his method.
He also introduced a prevention/ intervention trial for cancer sufferers with the National Cancer Society, Malaysia (NCSM). The Self-Healing Pilot Program started in 2011.
For more than 42 years Stuart has traveled the world presenting the benefits of stilling the mind to progressively release inner tension, for greater improved personal healing and business relations. His method has helped thousands of people – from individuals to Fortune 500 companies – from boardrooms to dining rooms and hospitals, around the world.
Countries in which Stuart has personally introduced Clarity include Australia, United States, Canada, United Kingdom, New Zealand, Asia (Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, China, South Korea and Vietnam). He is now based in Perth, Western Australia.
